Mix them with other similar-sized, peaceful species like the Boosemani rainbow.Peaceful catfish like corydoras or smaller plecos that occupy lower tank levels without conflict. Robust tetras (like Bleeding Heart or Congo tetras) and peaceful barbs make great active tank mates. Do not house with aggressive cichlids, or nano shrimp which may be mistaken for food.
